Formed under the auspices of the Stephen Lewis Foundation, it is one of many groups of Canadian grandmothers acting in solidarity with African grandmothers who are faced with raising their orphaned grandchildren in the mounting devastation of HIV/AIDS

So you signed up for MacVCF's Fall Gathering (which is taking place on Saturday, September 22nd -- this weekend!)? Here's some additional information. And if you still haven't signed up for it, you can do it tonight at Large Group (6:30pm at the MacDiv Rec room).

To bring:
Health card
Student card
Pencil crayons/markers/highlighters for manuscript Bible study
Pen or pencil for manuscript Bible study
Board games for afternoon free time
Money for the Gathering ($30 for newcomers, $40 for everyone else)

Included in the cost are lunch, dinner, and 5 drink tickets for the entire day.

Meet at the Divinity College bus stop at 9 a.m. Saturday morning. We will take the bus together to the FRWY (333 King Street East).

The Gathering will be finished around 10 p.m. and the bus that heads back to campus leaves around 10:30 p.m.

Fall Gathering
What does the Bible have to say to us about social injustice? On September 22nd come with us as we spend a day in downtown Hamilton, studying scripture and applying it as service to our community.

Cost: $30 (for newcomers and those who don't regularly attend MacVCF)
$40 (for old fogies to MacVCF)

Bring: Your student card (with the bus pass), yourself, and open eyes to observe the region of downtown Hamilton.
