Greetings one and all!

It's that time of year when we need to start thinking ahead to set our wonderful community up well for the next school year. To do this, we need to select some leaders to represent and help hold vision for the community for next year. Therefore, to begin this process, we are asking you to read the following description, and let us know who you think would be well fitted for next year's leadership team.

The way leadership is structured, is that the 'Exec' team (Karen, Alix, and I this year), work most directly with the MSU and IVCF staff. The Exec is responsible for creating and holding vision for the group as well as things like booking rooms, signing checks, and the like.

The leadership team is usually a larger group of students, often requiring slightly less time commitment and responsibility, but are the go-to people for helping plan and organize events and passing on vision to the rest of the Mac IVCF community. This position also often means leading a bible study and/or a prayer pocket.

So without further ado:

Criteria for Nominees
1. Must live in the Christian faith and believe in Inter-Varsity’s Doctrinal Convictions (http://www.ivcf.ca/about/inter_varsity_s_doctrinal_convictions)
2. Must be a full time student at McMaster University for the academic year of 2012/2013
3. An active member of IVCF
4. Willing to make a priority to attend training events in the summer (city/script, leadership training with Inter-Varsity)
5. We are looking for committed individuals with the following leadership characteristics:
a. Takes advantage of opportunities inside and outside of IVCF
b. Committed to IVCF events, activities, and responsibilities
c. Is faithful to academic responsibilities
d. Able to find an appropriate balance between b. and c.
e. Models spiritual leadership by living with Christian character
f. Spiritually mature and is willing to grow spiritually
g. Teachable: accepts criticism, openness
h. Available to other team members and IVCF community by praying, affirming, and encouraging them
i. Willing to actively engage in conflict resolution
j. Is humble
k. Willing to take risks
l. Demonstrates a reliance on Jesus

Notes:
1. Please specify whether your nomination is for exec or the leadership team.
2. You may nominate as many individuals as you feel are qualified.
3. You may nominate an individual specifically for the position of president, but this is not necessary.
4. An individual nominated for exec is automatically nominated for the leadership team.
